Downtown CLE faces major delays starting next week

CLEVELAND (WJW) — Traffic is about to get tighter in downtown Cleveland.

“Everyone going down for a ballgame or a concert or anything like that, they’re gonna have to detour around,” said the Ohio Department of Transportation‘s public information officer Brent Kovacs.

Starting Monday, the first full day of summer, construction crews began work on the Memorial Bridge’s loop project, an effort to connect bike lanes, sidewalks and shared-use paths between the Detroit-Superior and Lorain-Carnegie bridges.
