Man hit, killed by alleged drunk driver while helping disabled driver in Pepper Pike

PEPPER PIKE, Ohio (WJW) — A man died and a woman was hospitalized after they were hit by a vehicle as they assisted a disabled driver in Pepper Pike.

First responders were called to Fairmount Boulevard near Brainard Road around 2:50 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, according to a news release from the Pepper Pike Police Department.

At the scene, police observed three vehicles involved in a crash. A woman and man were found “between two of the vehicles,” police said, and were suffering from serious injuries.

The woman was taken to a hospital where she was listed in stable condition. The man died at the scene, according to police…
