Fugitive dies after facing charges in Cleveland cold case murder

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A man who went on the run after facing murder charges in a 2017 killing, which for years stalled as a cold case, has died.

Terrance Carnegie, of Cleveland, died last Wednesday at a house on East 246th Street in Euclid, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office. A spokesperson with the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s office confirmed the deceased Carnegie is the same one facing murder charges for the 2017 killing.
