Davis Bakery and Deli in Woodmere will participate in the 11th annual National Deli Month that began on Aug. 1.
National Deli Month is part of a Save-the-Deli effort across North America, primarily in the United States and Canada. Davis Bakery, a family-owned business since 1939, will represent Ohio in the initiative.
National Deli Month began in 2016 when Ziggy Gruber, the owner of Kenny & Ziggy’s New York Delicatessen & Restaurant in Houston collaborated with Jay Parker, the owner of Ben’s Best Deli in Rego Park, N.Y., to celebrate New York-style Jewish delicatessens.
