NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio (WJW) — Video just released to the FOX 8 I-Team shows the man accused of killing the North Royalton building commissioner being brought to the Cuyahoga County jail, where he is now being held without bond.
Edward Biesiada, 69, is facing a murder charge for allegedly shooting and killing North Royalton Building Commissioner David Smerek on July 24 at the North Royalton City Service Complex.

Police have not given a motive for the murder, but a person calling 911 shortly after the shooting said the suspect had a “vendetta” against Smerek. The I-Team also found that the shooting happened just days after Biesiada had received a misdemeanor citation for not cleaning up his property.
On Wednesday, the I-Team received a copy of the citation after filing a public records request. It shows city officials told Biesiada since May he had to clean up his property. The citation refers to failure to comply with notices that had been sent earlier to Biesiada. One was sent on June 1 and another on May 13…
