Local man skips work after big win: Ohio Lottery

LAKEWOOD, Ohio (WJW) – A local man stopped to buy a lottery ticket on his way to work, but instead returned home after winning $500,000 on a scratch-off ticket, according to the Ohio Lottery.

In a media release, officials said the man first purchased a $5 scratch-off and won $10. He then decided to go back into the store and buy a $10 Instant Jackpot ticket.
