CHARDON, Ohio (WJW) — A Lake County man who pleaded guilty to plotting and carrying out the June 2025 murder of his ex-wife, with whom he shared five children, will now spend the rest of his life in prison.
Steven A. Kurzinger, 37, of Willowick, pleaded guilty in June to a count of aggravated murder in the death of 37-year-old Alexandria Kurzinger. A Geauga County judge on Wednesday, Aug. 5, sentenced him to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Officers on June 25, 2025, found the woman shot dead in the doorway of her residence along Irma Drive in Chardon, police previously said.
At the time, it was the first murder charge filed in Geauga County since 2014, county Prosecutor Jim Flaiz previously told FOX 8 News.
