Woman hospitalized after escaping Cleveland house fire

CLEVELAND (WJW) — A woman is in stable condition after escaping a house fire in Cleveland Friday morning.

According to the the Cleveland Division of Fire, crews responded to the home on W. 139 St. south of Lorain Ave.

A woman made it out of the burning home through a second floor window, Cleveland fire officials said. She was taken by ambulance to a hospital where she was said to be in stable condition.

Two dogs and three cats died in the fire.

Sobriety checkpoints planned tonight

The damage is estimated to be around $150,000.

The fire remains under investigation…
