With a little over a month to go until Gregory Moore stands trial in connection with the murder of Aliza Sherman, some new, potential evidence has emerged.
Moore’s attorney, Jon Paul Rion of Rion & Rion, L.P.A., Inc. in Dayton, on July 31 sent a courier to deliver a sealed envelope to Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas Judge Kira Krivosh, who is overseeing the trial. The envelope contains data from a cell phone Moore gave to Ian Friedman, his former attorney, two-and-a-half months before Sherman’s death March 14, 2013, according to court records.
“The envelope was not opened and remains unopened at the time of this filing and will remain unopened until it is opened by authorized personnel consistent with this order and the order establishing taint team procedures,” an Aug. 3 court filing said…
