Dante Boccuzzi’s Goma Downtown Has Closed

Chef Dante Boccuzzi has closed Goma, his Japanese restaurant on East 4th Street downtown. The restaurant opened five years ago, in the space that had been home to Zack Bruell’s Chinato.

Reached for comment, Boccuzzi responded by text that the restaurant has been closed for renovations and will reopen in the coming months with a new concept and other changes.

Goma was among the second wave on East 4th Street following the closures of Greenhouse Tavern, Chinato and Lola. Boccuzzi built a menu around sushi, of course, but also noodles, soups and hot Japanese and Japanese-fusion dishes…
