The driver charged in connection with the death of a 3-year-old girl in a crash at City Barbecue in Beachwood pleaded not guilty in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas on Aug. 12, while her father pleaded not guilty after allegedly telling officers he was the one behind the wheel.
Jasmine McFadden, 19, of Euclid was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and negligent assault after police say the vehicle she was controlling at around 1:30 p.m. on June 21 in the parking lot of Pavilion Shopping Center in Beachwood went over the curb at City Barbecue at 24325 Chagrin Blvd., striking a fence and several pedestrians seated at a table on the patio. The girl, who was dining with family, was transported to Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights and later died of injuries sustained in the crash, according to previous CJN reporting.
McFadden, whom police said was driving without a license, had her bond continued at $100,000 at an Aug. 12 arraignment hearing, according to court records…
