OSHP issued a Blue Alert the first time in more than 2 years

CLEVELAND — The stabbing of a Gibsonburg police officer marks the first time the Ohio State Highway Patrol has issued what’s known as a “Blue Alert” in more than two years.

These alerts are a part of a statewide notification system that can help in emergencies. Gibsonburg is the latest police department to request a Blue Alert, but before them, it was Euclid.
