CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol Motorcycle Unit and the Cleveland Division of Police Motorcycle Unit teamed up for a driving enforcement operation last week and it yielded “significant results.”
Troopers and police were out in force on I-480 in Cuyahoga County from Aug. 24-28.
Ohio State Highway Patrol Lt. Tim Hoffman said together both agencies collected:
- 609 speed violations
- 86 safety belt violations
- 89 distracted driving citations
- 18 arrests for driving under suspension
The 14-mile stretch of I-480 between the Lorain county line and the Jennings freeway has seen 94 injury crashes and nine deaths in the last two years…
