Mikey’s Late Night Slice is opening its first Cleveland-area restaurant and bar in a historic three-story building at 1898 W. 25th St. in Ohio City, with a target of sometime in 2027. CEO Mikey Sorboro said an exact date isn’t set yet given what he called the “enormity” of the rehab needed for the space.
The brand has spent more than two years searching for the right Cleveland real estate, and Sorboro said the combined investment between Mikey’s and the property owner will run past $2 million, a bigger capital lift than the company’s typical buildout. The first floor, roughly 1,700 square feet, will echo the long, narrow layout of the original Mikey’s location at High and Vine streets in Columbus. The second floor adds more seating and party space, opened up to look down onto the first floor, while the third floor will go unused.
Ohio City is already a dense hub for dining, drinking and entertainment, and the new Mikey’s shares a wall, though not a connected space, with Columbus based Pins Mechanical Co.
