CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A 19-year-old man accused of setting the fire that destroyed an historic Cleveland church, pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas Court Wednesday.
John Patrick McManamon was indicted on:
- Two counts of aggravated arson
- One count of desecration
- One count of disrupting public service
- One count of breaking and entering
The judge set his bond at $10,000 and scheduled his first pre-trial for Sept. 23.
According to the arrest warrant, just before midnight on Aug. 20, surveillance cameras caught a car driven by McManamon traveling to the abandoned Friendship Baptist Church in the 5600 block of Central Ave…
