United Way of Greater Cleveland’s board of directors elected Ira C. Kaplan as its next board chair, tapping the longtime supporter of the organization to lead the nonprofit that mobilizes people and resources by creating solutions that improve lives and our community.
Kaplan, executive chairman of Cleveland-based law firm Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff LLP, began the two-year term on Sept. 24. He succeeded Vanessa L. Whiting, president and CEO of Cleveland-based A.E.S. Management Corporation.
