CLEVELAND, Ohio — Northeast Ohio’s shrinking days are leaving less time for an evening walk or a little yardwork before sunset, and the evenings are about to reach another fall milestone.
Monday, Oct. 5, will bring Cleveland’s last sunset after 7 p.m. until March. The sun will set at 7:01 p.m., then slip below the horizon at 6:59 p.m. Tuesday, according to timeanddate.com’s sunrise and sunset calendar.
That is one step in a steady retreat toward earlier evenings. Cleveland will lose nearly 80 minutes of daylight between Oct. 1 and Halloween, followed by a more abrupt change when clocks fall back Nov. 1 and sunset shifts into the 5 o’clock hour…
