BAINBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO) – From Bainbridge Township to Dayton, a local woman has an arrest warrant starting Monday for stealing HOA funds in a check scheme, according to a Facebook post from Geauga County Prosecutor’s Office.
Kristen Cherry, 42, of Lewisburg, Ohio, has been indicted on two counts of aggravated theft and two counts of forgery, according to the Geauga County Prosecutor’s Office.
According to court documents, the theft counts are third-degree felonies, and the forgery counts are fifth-degree felonies. The charges were enhanced because Cherry has two previous felony theft convictions within three years.
On April 12, the treasurer of a local homeowners association reported to the Bainbridge Township Police Department that two checks had been cashed March 13 while both checks remained in the treasurer’s possession, according to the release…
