MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio — Mayfield Heights Mayor Diane Snider is addressing residents’ safety concerns following last week’s deadly shooting outside a Piada Italian Street Food restaurant, outlining steps the city says it is taking to strengthen public safety.
Snider released a letter to residents Wednesday night following the Oct. 2 shooting that killed 45-year-old Al Rice of Cleveland.
“The recent violent incidents in our community, including the tragic homicide at Piada on Friday afternoon, have understandably raised concerns. Any act of violence is one too many,” said Snider in the letter.
