Lakefront Lodge Park in Willowick will soon be temporarily closed as part of its ongoing improvements.
According to Mayor Michael Vanni, park improvements at 30525 Lakeshore Blvd. continue to progress with Lake Metroparks.
“They are planning to put asphalt trails in,” he said. “I think the tentative date is Oct. 19. Once I get that set in stone, I’ll make sure we get it on our Facebook page and website because they’re going to shut the park down when they’re doing those trails, but they’re moving along.”
Vanni said the three covered heavy-duty swingsets — similar to swings Lake Metroparks installed at Painesville Township Park — are starting to come along as part of the improvements and new amenities. Additionally, the pavilion has gone up and working continues to be done on the new flush restrooms…
