ELYRIA, Ohio (WOIO) – The 24-year-old Elyria man accused of fatally shooting a motorcyclist in Elyria Township last October has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. Isaiah Makuch was indicted on the charges of aggravated murder, murder, felonious assault, discharge of a firearm on or near prohibited premises, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, attempted murder and aggravated menacing.
