Man arrested in connection to shooting after Cleveland standoff

CLEVELAND (WJW) – One man has been arrested in connection to a January shooting after fleeing a traffic stop that led to a standoff in Cleveland.

According to a press release from the Cleveland Division of Police , detectives found a vehicle that was suspected to have been involved in a shooting that happened on the 3500 block of West 60th Street on Jan. 14 around 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

Officers attempted to stop the driver, but the vehicle fled the area.

The vehicle was soon found in the area of East 28th Street and Cedar Road, where the driver went into a home and refused to come out. According to police, the man was armed at the time.

The Cleveland Division of Police SWAT team later responded and arrested the man without incident.

Man arrested for deadly horse and buggy crash

The suspect is 28 years old and his charges are pending, according to police. He has not been identified.

This case remains under investigation at this time.
