CLEVELAND — On Jan. 18, Robert Perkins was shot and killed by a Cleveland Police Department SWAT team in the Slavic Village neighborhood after an armed standoff. I represented Robert in a legal proceeding. It has been reported that Robert may have had some form of mental health challenges, but more importantly, he had access to a gun.
