$3,000 reward offered for info on attempted gun burglaries in NE Ohio: ATF

CLEVELAND (WJW) — Three people are on the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ (ATF) radar after three burglaries and and an attempted one in Northeast Ohio.

ATF announced a reward of $3,000 for information that would lead to the arrest of the individuals reportedly involved in the incidents that took place on Jan. 31 and Feb. 9.

In the early hours of Jan 31, the three individuals broke into Amherst Arms in Amherst, Transform & Renew Arms in North Ridgeville (taking magazines and ammunition) and also Rural King in Elyria.

In all instances, the trio was unsuccessful in getting any guns, ATF made clear. The getaway vehicle was later discovered as stolen and found discarded in Lorain County.

‘Nightmare situation’: Officer shot trying to rescue hostage identified

An attempted burglary at an Avon Cabela’s on Feb. 9 is also attributed to the three, although they were unable to enter the locale.
