CLEVELAND (WJW) — Federal agents on Friday afternoon arrested a man accused of crashing into a Cleveland apartment building, causing a gas explosion that killed a 68-year-old woman.
Members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested 39-year-old Christopher Terry on a charge of aggravated vehicular homicide in the Nov. 19 crash in the 3400 block of East 139th Street.
Terry was traveling at more than 120 mph when he lost control of the car, crashing through several front yards and into the porches of an apartment building and a nearby home, according to a Friday news release from U.S. Marshals .
The car struck a gas line on the apartment building, and it exploded minutes later. A 68-year-old woman inside was killed.
Shortly before the explosion, some residents reported smelling gas, FOX 8 News reported.
