Bible found intact after historic Cleveland church destroyed by fire

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WJW) — It was on Feb. 29 that a fire swept through a historic Cleveland church, and members of the congregation now say they made an amazing discovery in the burned-out rubble of their temple.

It was a Bible that was singed by the flames, but somehow remained intact. They say the damage done by the fire at Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Church in the city’s St. Clair-Superior neighborhood is heartbreaking, but the scorched Bible is giving them a ray of hope.

Ellys Santiago, who is a member of the Iglesia church board, told Fox 8: “I’m hopeful for what’s coming on because that gives me the reassurance that He’s protecting us, no matter what we’re seeing right now, He’s taking care of us.”
