Man who falsely told Lakewood police he was robbed at gunpoint charged under “swatting” law

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A Cleveland man is facing a felony charge after Lakewood police say he falsely claimed to have been robbed at gunpoint earlier this month. Devin Townsend told police the next day that someone he knew stole money and a gun from him, but the person did not hold him at gunpoint.
