Smoke near CLE Hopkins – Here’s what sparked it

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WJW) – A fire at a storage unit building in Cleveland was reported Thursday morning.

At about 8 a.m., heavy smoke could be seen coming from the units located near Brookpark Road and Old Grayton Road.

The building isn’t far from the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport .

Ohio smashes tornado record

According to fire crews , 14 units were involved and substantial damage was caused to the roof. Officials said the cause of the fire was determined to be accidental and started when someone working with a torch accidentally caught stored clothing on fire.
