A new restaurant has opened in Lakewood, Ohio

LAKEWOOD, OH – A new restaurant has come to town.

On August 21, the new restaurant Artis celebrated its grand opening, according to the restaurant’s social media account. Customers can find the restaurant in Lakewood at 17900 Detroit Ave. Per the restaurant’s website, Artis is “Latin for craft, art, skill, & knowledge.” The Lakewood restaurant is a new venture from executive chef and owner Andrew Mansour.

The menu includes “now” starters like spicy cucumbers, marinated tomatoes, citrus-cured olives, and sea salt & EVOO flatbread as well as “soon” appetizers like roasted carrots, spicy pulled lamb hummus, “lobster bisque” (which is served in the form of a soup dumpling), and deviled eggs.

As for main courses, the menu has “in a while” dishes like duck confit pierogi, Nashville hot harissa chicken, kimchi baked clams, Korean short rib, smoked octopus, and pan-roasted scallops. There are also entrees that are “worth the wait” like misoyaki glazed salmon, spice roasted eggplant, saffron & date braised lamb shank, and whole fried snapper. In addition, Artis offers steaks like a 28-ounce dry-aged porterhouse, 16-ounce Ohio Angus bone-in ribeye, 8-ounce Angus reserve filet mignon, and 13-ounce Ohio Angus NY strip.
