According to city officials, the signs reinforce Ordinance 559.541 , which states that “no unauthorized person shall remain on or in any portion of the area known as Public Square between the hours of 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.”

The affected area includes all structures within Public Square like walls and fountains. It doesn’t include dedicated streets, sidewalks next to those streets and RTA bus shelters, according to the city code.
