‘Ready To Roll!’ Browns’ Denzel Ward Ready For Giants

The Cleveland Browns defense was dominant in it’s 18-13 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Even with cornerback Denzel Ward being limited, Cleveland’s defense held up for the win.

Ward, who was battling a concussion sustained in practice leading up to the start of the season, suffered a shoulder injury in Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys that limited him to just 11 defensive snaps against the Jags.

For the Browns to get their season back on track, they need their defense at full strength to hold opponents down.

On Wednesday, Ward was asked about his health and how he would handle it moving forward.

“I’m feeling great, man,” Ward said, adding, “Feeling good. Ready to get to the game and ready to roll…I feel good ready to go.”

That’s certainly good to hear, however, every player in the NFL will tell you they are ready to go regardless of their health. Competitors compete and players play, that’s just how it is.

Ward will need to be fully healthy against rookie receiver sensation Malik Nabers who got his first 100-yard game against the Washington Commanders last week.
