(WJW) – A healthy baby girl was delivered on the side of a highway in Cleveland Monday morning with the help of her firefighter dad.
According to the Cleveland Division of Fire , a husband and wife were on their way to Fairview Hospital on Interstate 480 when the wife asked her husband to “pull over now.”

That is when the woman put her feet up on the dashboard of the van and delivered the baby girl.
FOX 8 News is told that the new father is a Cleveland firefighter and the baby’s delivery came the same day he is being promoted to lieutenant.
The Cleveland Division of Fire arrived on the scene to assist their growing family.

According to the fire department, the family was taken to the hospital and baby Mabel is doing well.
