MENTOR , Ohio (WJW) – Police in Mentor were called to the scene of a golf cart crash where a 21-year-old reportedly struck and killed a dog.
In a weekly memo sent by the Mentor city manager to council members, the city manager said the man from Mentor was driving the golf cart westbound on Garden Lane, near Brooksdale Road, when he struck the dog.

“The golf cart flipped, and the dog was killed,” wrote the city manger.

The driver was not identified in the memo to council, but the city manager said he was cited and transported to a local hospital due to minor injuries.
