It’s been a long time coming. Too long for the hard-to-place children in Cuyahoga County custody forced to sleep in hallways or in a child care room in a county office building, for lack of an alternative place that would take them. But there’s reason to celebrate now. Thanks to a public-private partnership, a merger of nonprofits and $14 million in upgrades at the former Cleveland Christian Home, appropriate, safe, supportive housing will soon be available to these kids.
