Mother and child struck in hit-and-run at local Target

BAINBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) — Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident that occurred Monday evening in the parking lot of Target on North Market Place in Bainbridge Township .

A 29-year-old Warrensville Heights woman was struck by a vehicle around 7:10 p.m. while walking with her young child, according to police.

The vehicle fled the scene before officers arrived.

The woman sustained minor injuries and was transported to Ahuja Medical Center. The child was not hurt.

Authorities say they are pursuing leads but have not identified the driver or vehicle involved.
