Investigators from the Ohio Department of Commerce’s Division of State Fire Marshal (SFM) and the Lorain Fire Investigation Unit have determined that the fire that erupted last week at a vacant home in Lorain was a deliberate act of arson, as reported by WKYC. The incident, which occurred last Thursday, around 10:43 p.m. at 1945 East 34th Street, called the Lorain Fire Department into action. No one was injured in the blaze, but it did question the security of vacant properties and the ease with which they could be targeted.
