CLEVELAND — For many decades, an unwritten rule among the national press has been that juvenile children of our presidents should be off-limits, thus allowing them to lead as normal lives as possible while living in a fishbowl. Kids don’t choose their parents or their parents’ professions. Except for a few bombastic fools, the media have largely honored this.
