Northeast Ohio forecasted for heavy lake effect snow to start 2025

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Parts of Northeast Ohio could see up to 14 inches of snow by Thursday night, with more on the way this weekend. Starting Wednesday evening, people in Cuyahoga, Geauga and Lake counties can expect lake effect snow. Parts of Cuyahoga County east of Interstate 271, the northern part of Geauga County and parts of Lake County south of Interstate 90 are expected to see the most snow, according to a Wednesday morning weather alert from the National Weather Service. There, residents can expect between eight to 14 inches of snow with wind gusts that can reach 40 miles per hour.
