Public health alert issued for Ohio-based company’s beef

CLEVELAND, Ohio – A public health alert has been issued after concerns that frozen, raw ground-beef products may be contaminated with foreign material. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service issued an alert after concerns the beef might be contaminated with hard plastic and metal. A recall was not requested because the product is no longer available for purchase from Oxford, Ohio-based Stockyards Packing Co.
