MLK Day 2025 celebrations, events in Cleveland

Northeast Ohio will honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Jan. 20. We’ve compiled a list of upcoming events around the community. Most of the below are free to attend, though some may ask for registration.

Greater Cleveland Congregations will host, “Where do we go from here: Chaos or community?” – The Jan. 20th event will take place at Olivet Institutional Baptist Church, 8712 Quincy Ave., Cleveland. The intergenerational event runs from 10 a.m. to noon. There will be activities for elementary-aged children, pre-teens and teenagers. RSVP’s are encouraged and can be completed here.

Cleveland Orchestra’s MLK Day of Music – On Jan. 20, guests can enjoy a day of free community performances and activities, including a wide variety of ensembles live from Severance’s Mandel Concert Hall and Reinberger Chamber Hall.
