Beloved pilot, mentor, friend lost in helicopter crash

PORTAGE COUNTY (WJW) — The Northeast Ohio aviation community is mourning the tragic loss of one of its own. Anthony “Andy” Jones, a 52-year-old pilot from North Royalton, tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash early Friday morning .

Jones, known for his unwavering passion for aviation, was more than just a skilled pilot. To those who knew him, he was a mentor, a teacher and a cherished friend.
