Chi’Sean Oglesby sentenced to 21 years to life for murder, will appeal

ELYRIA — Chi’Sean Oglesby was sentenced to 21 years to life in prison on Wednesday for the 2022 shooting in his home that killed one of his friends and wounded another.

Lorain County Common Pleas Judge Raymond Ewers passed the sentence a few weeks after he denied Oglesby’s request for a new trial, which was originally filed more than a year ago.

Oglesby, 24, was found guilty last year of nine charges including murder, attempted murder, felonious assault and tampering with evidence in the shooting that killed Damarco McNairy, 22, of Euclid and injured Danielle DeJarnette of Cleveland…
