CLEVELAND (WJW) — Cleveland Clinic plans to collect copays before or at check-in, starting June 1.
Patients who can’t afford the copay before the visit will have to reschedule, according to an email announcing the change, sent to patients on Tuesday morning.

The new policy is for nonemergency outpatient services including:
- Scheduled office visits with primary care physicians or specialists
- Therapy services, such as physical, occupational or speech
- Outpatient diagnostic testing like imaging and scheduled lab work
- Outpatient procedural visits and in-office procedures
