CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Asian Festival takes place this Saturday and Sunday for its 16th year in the heart of the city’s AsiaTown neighborhood.
The festival, featuring a diverse selection of Asian cuisine, cultural performances and other events, was founded to strengthen and support AsiaTown’s economic growth and promote education of Asian culture and traditions. The festival kicks off at 11:30 a.m. Saturday with a traditional Chinese lion dance on the Jack Stage located near the corner of Payne Avenue and East 27th Street.
More than 80 volunteers help organize the festival, showcasing 35 local restaurants and food trucks and more than 100 other vendors and presenters.
