UH to build new conference center in a prominent spot: The Wake Up for Wednesday, May 21, 2025

For two decades, University Hospitals has been saving a 1.7-acre plot of green space on Euclid Avenue for a new conference center.

Plans to build a gleaming white edifice of modern shapes called the Iris and Bert Wolstein Center are now slated for construction next year. The 40,000-square-foot, three-story building will include patient education facilities, a medical simulation center, public art galleries, an outdoor sculpture garden with free access, a two-story ballroom, an executive boardroom, and a cafe, among other features.
