Health alert issued for ground beef distributed to Whole Foods; E. coli contamination suspected

CLEVELAND, Ohio – A public health alert has been issued for raw ground beef that might be contaminated with E. coli, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The FSIS says the beef might be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7.

The item was shipped to distributor locations before being sent to Whole Foods Market retail locations nationwide…
