Man arrested in murder of missing father found dead in East Cleveland

EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio (WJW) — Police on Thursday afternoon announced a man has been charged with the murder of a Warren father who went missing in early February.

Nathaniel C. Crockett, 28, of Cleveland, has been a “person of interest since day one” in the murder of 46-year-old Juvar King Sr., Acting Police Chief Kenneth Lundy told reporters at a Thursday media briefing.

In early February, the vehicle King had been driving was found on fire in the 9300 block of Sherwood Road in Cleveland, FOX 8 News previously reported. The vehicle, which was registered to one of King’s relatives, had been spotted by a license plate-reading camera in East Cleveland days after King was reported missing.

Investigators deemed the fire to be arson and arrested Crockett. He was later indicted on a felony count of arson in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court…
