NE Ohioans may be eligible for one-time grocery gift card

LAKEWOOD, Ohio (WJW) – After last week’s storms, some Northeast Ohioans who lost food due to a power outage may be eligible for a grocery gift card.

The City of Lakewood announced that residents who lost power for 24 hours or more between June 23 and June 28 can receive the one-time gift card if they meet the following requirements:

  • Household income at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level
  • Did not receive SNAP replacement benefits for this incident

City officials said the program will operate on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last.
