CLEVELAND (WJW) – Nearly a year after his tragic death, the Cleveland community gathered Thursday night to honor the memory of Officer Jamieson Ritter during a candlelight vigil held on the steps of the Cleveland Division of Police’s 3rd District headquarters.
Around 100 attendees — including fellow police officers, sheriff’s deputies, classmates and friends — came together to pay tribute to the 27-year-old officer who was killed in the line of duty on July 4, 2024.
The vigil, organized by the local police union, served as a moment of reflection, unity and remembrance.
