CLEVELAND (WJW) – Keep the rain gear handy Monday afternoon. Scattered to numerous downpours and storms will fire up along a slow-moving cold front on Monday.
Rain will be likely from 2PM to 6PM. Places along and east of I-71 will have the highest chance of rain and storms. Any downpours or storms that develop could produce locally heavy rain and gusty winds. Overall, the threat of strong to severe storms looks to remain very low.
Monday afternoon is still going to be very warm and humid. Highs on Monday will be in the low to mid 80s.
The cold front will finally drop south of Northeast Ohio Monday night. Any chance of rain should be long gone by the overnight. Monday night will be cooler and more comfortable from a humidity standpoint as drier air moves into the area. Lows will be in the low to mid 60s.
Tuesday will be the pick day of the workweek! Tuesday will be the only completely dry day this week. Plus, it not going to be to hot or humid. It is going to be a pleasant summer day.
The same front that will slide through on Monday will wobble back north midweek. The humidity and rain chances return Wednesday and will stick around for the rest of the workweek.
